Wow, the game is amazing! BTW I'm working on a beat mapper app for music-based games. It's called MBOY Editor (https://vfpe.itch.io/mboy-editor) Do you want to try it for your game? Vic

Some of that went way over my head, and it's hard to gauge an unfinished concept and presentation, but it really felt like it had potential. The music was neat, and it left me wanting more. Might check out the metronomicon, I suppose, since this is unlikely to be completed.

So ... ive only done th twizards for now, and man i dont regret giving you 10 buck. Really want more.

What about kickstarting if you have mixed feelings about E A?

Alas, I fear that our ask might be out of reach for a Kickstarter project, given our generally niche genre. :)

But, I'll happily take donations of cookies or soda! :)

(Glad you like it!!!)

Have you considered Early Access on Steam? Maybe with the note that the game won't be completed unless it does super well or something? Even with like a $3 price tag or something?

I'd love to, but I honestly fear that the gap in the amount of cash we need is too severe for that approach.

While I'm SUUUPER tempted to put the game onto Steam for the addition of leaderboards alone (and don't promise that I never will), I'm also a bit afraid of attracting negative reviews for an unfinished product to both our developer and publisher accounts, where other games are selling full retail.

Sure, but just make sure you highlight that fact in the description and information. Also, having a super low price point like $3 to $5 should get people to understand that?

Maybe! I do looove to build, so I can't say no to anything, really!

Sadly, many people don't read the store's description, and even with that, they can be quite vitriolic towards an incomplete game (or a game that stays indefinitely in early access), regardless of the explanations.

Sure, but there are examples of the opposite. Look at Secrets of Grindea that has been under development for 5+ years. I dunno, I feel like it would  still be worth it to put it out there just in case.

The Metronomicon is one of my favourite games, and this seems like an awesome new take on the rhythm/RPG gameplay. The fact that this is incomplete and lacking content just seems like a huge waste. I really hope this gets funded and revived someday.
